Who builds Kelo
Jose Pedro Franco Moreno. I build Kelo on my own, from Spain.
I've been publishing apps on the App Store since 2018, working for myself under the name Juice Studio. Kelo shipped in April 2025 and it takes up most of my time. Before it I built Hoople, and I now also build life one.
There's no team. No editorial staff, no marketing people, nobody reviewing this behind me. I write the articles myself, for the same reason I write the code: they're the same work seen from two places.
Why I write about billing cycles
Because I implemented them. The part of Kelo that works out which day each charge lands, how many times a year a quarterly cycle bills you, and what happens when a payment dated the 31st reaches February, I wrote that, and it is covered by tests.
That's what sits behind the numbers in these articles. When I say a charge every four weeks is thirteen payments a year rather than twelve, I didn't read it on another blog: it's a rule I had to program, and one you can check yourself against a calendar in thirty seconds.
I don't write about what I haven't built. Kelo doesn't read your bank statements and doesn't cancel subscriptions for you, so you won't find guides here about either.
How these articles get written
Every checkable fact links to its primary source: to Apple support, to the CFPB, to whoever published it first hand. Where something is an estimate, I say so.
Articles carry a publication date, and a revision date only when they have genuinely been revised. Stamping today's date on a text nobody has reread is a cheap way to look current, and it doesn't happen here.
