Privacy policy

1. Our approach

Kelo is built to work on your device. The subscriptions, bills, payments and goals you enter are stored locally on your iPhone. We never ask for bank logins or card numbers and we never see your payment credentials: all purchases are handled by Apple.

2. What we collect and who processes it

• On your device: the subscriptions, payments, goals and notes you enter. This stays on your device unless you turn on sync (section 3).
• Purchases (RevenueCat): when you subscribe or restore, RevenueCat processes your App Store transaction, subscription status, an anonymous app identifier and basic device and country data, so we can unlock and restore your plan. It does not receive your name or email.
• Product analytics (PostHog, EU servers): we record in app events (screens reached, paywall and onboarding steps, features used, and the amounts or categories you assign to subscriptions and goals), linked to a random app identifier, together with device model, operating system, app version, language and approximate location from your IP address. We use this only to understand and improve the app. We do not collect your name, email or contacts.
• Advertising measurement (Meta): if you allow tracking when iOS asks, the Meta SDK receives your device advertising identifier and conversion events so we can measure our ad performance. If you decline, it is not shared. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings, Privacy and Security, Tracking. This data may be processed in the United States.
• Chat with Jose (our server and Slack): if you write in the in app chat, your message, its time and the context of your Kelo account (app identifier, language, app version, whether you are Premium and when your plan ends) travel over an encrypted connection to our server, and from there to a private Slack channel where Jose reads it and replies. If you allow notifications, we store your device notification token so Apple can alert you when a reply arrives. The chat is optional and we do not ask for your name or email.

3. Cloud sync (Premium)

If you are a Premium subscriber and turn on sync, the subscriptions and payments you create are sent over an encrypted connection to our server and stored there so they stay in sync across your devices. If you do not use sync, this data never leaves your device.

4. Legal bases (EEA and UK)

Purchases and sync: performance of our contract with you. Analytics: our legitimate interest in improving the app. Advertising identifier: your consent (the iOS tracking prompt), which you can withdraw at any time. Chat: handling what you write to us, as part of our contract if you are a subscriber and under our legitimate interest in answering you if you are not.

5. Retention

On device data remains until you delete it or remove the app. Sync data is kept while you use sync and is deleted on request. Analytics and advertising data are retained for a limited period by each provider. Chat conversations are kept on our server so we can follow up with you, and are deleted on request.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your data, and to object to or withdraw consent for analytics and advertising, by writing to hola@juice-studio.com. In the EEA you may also complain to your data protection authority (in Spain, the AEPD).

7. International transfers

Some providers (such as Meta, or Slack for chat messages) may process data outside the EEA, including the United States, under safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

8. Children

Kelo is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. This website

This site is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from third party servers: fonts, images and video are all served from this domain.

The only things stored in your browser are two of your own preferences: your light or dark theme, and whether you have already picked a language, so we stop offering you the other one. They are only stored when you use those controls, they stay on your machine, they are never sent anywhere, and clearing site data removes them.

Links to the App Store carry a campaign identifier so Apple can tell us how many downloads come from here. Apple gives us that figure in aggregate: we receive no information about individual people.

10. Changes

We may update this policy and will post the new version here with a new effective date.
